Information Assurance Systems Engineer

LinQuest is in search of an Information Assurance Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our team. An active TS/SCI clearance with a CI/poly is a prerequisite.
This role involves supporting the US Space Force (USSF) in the advancement, implementation, and maintenance of Cyber Operations capabilities within the Space Systems Command's portfolio. We are seeking innovative, creative, and highly motivated professionals with a background in integrating cyber capabilities with various operational architectures to facilitate strategic planning and tactical execution of Defensive Cyber Operations and cybersecurity integration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging in various systems architecture and engineering tasks such as defining system requirements, design, interface management, data architecture development, verification and validation, systems integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and technical performance assessments.
- Utilizing engineering expertise in security solutions to design, develop, and/or implement strategies that ensure alignment with enterprise architecture security requirements and support comprehensive military cyberspace operations.
- Guaranteeing the logical and systematic transformation of product requirements into comprehensive systems solutions that consider technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Conducting engineering analyses, including edge-node vulnerability assessments, and developing technical requirements for payloads based on findings; integrating payloads with platforms; reviewing system software code.
- Assisting in the development of system engineering documents such as CONOPs, requirements definitions, system testing, algorithm document reviews, and interfaces with other application development initiatives.
- Collaborating with external organizations, agencies, and offices to formulate strategies that support Department of Defense (DoD) architectures, define future capabilities and interoperability needs, develop system architectures, identify system-level trades, and evaluate the performance of current and future architectural concepts.
- A Bachelor's Degree along with 14 years of experience, or 4 additional years of relevant cybersecurity experience may substitute for the degree.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity integration with major weapon systems and defensive cyber operations, coordinating across space, air, and ground organizations to ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are satisfied.
- Expertise in network design, penetration testing, network enumeration/exploitation, system logging, incident response, forensic and malware analysis, familiarity with exploits and vulnerabilities beyond tool suites, and proficiency in Linux, Java, Python, Perl, and/or Bash.
- Cyber Workforce Management Program (DoD and DoD m) Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III and/or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level II certification is required.
- Capability to operate in a secure, confined environment.
- Must possess an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility, and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).
- Willingness to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs and consent to a Polygraph examination.
