The National Adoption Association (NAA) is on the lookout for dedicated and collaborative professionals in the field of diligent recruitment to fulfill a vital role at the National Center for Diligent Recruitment.

About the Center:

The National Center for Diligent Recruitment operates under the auspices of AdoptUSKids, a federally funded initiative aimed at enhancing the foster care system. The Center's primary goals include:

  1. Providing comprehensive support to states, tribes, and territories in executing their diligent recruitment strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
  2. Delivering universal and targeted technical assistance to bolster the recruitment efforts of various jurisdictions.
  3. Identifying and sharing effective, evidence-based practices in diligent recruitment that can be replicated across different systems.

The Center collaborates with child welfare leaders to advocate for best practices in recruitment, ultimately aiming to improve the safety, permanency, and overall well-being of children and families involved in the foster care system.

Role Responsibilities:

NAA is seeking five Diligent Recruitment Advisors who will report to the Director of Intensive Technical Assistance. These Advisors will offer tailored technical assistance through both onsite and virtual support, adapting to the unique needs of each jurisdiction. Their role will involve:

  • Facilitating the implementation of diligent recruitment plans and overcoming systemic barriers.
  • Utilizing data effectively, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality customer service in their capacity-building efforts.
  • Employing consulting, coaching, training, and project management techniques to enhance recruitment strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A master's degree in social work, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field is preferred; a bachelor's degree with substantial experience will also be considered.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in public child welfare.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Expertise in technical assistance delivery, capacity-building, and adult learning methodologies.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing diligent recruitment strategies.
  • Experience in providing technical assistance, training, or coaching aimed at systemic change within public child welfare.
  • Willingness to travel for onsite capacity-building services as needed.

Additional Information:

This position is remote within the United States and may require occasional evening and weekend work. NAA conducts thorough background checks on all employees.
