This Center operates under the auspices of AdoptUSKids, a substantial federally funded initiative aimed at enhancing child welfare practices. The Center's primary goals include:
- Providing comprehensive support to states, tribes, and territories in executing their diligent recruitment strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
- Delivering universal and targeted technical assistance to enhance the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
- Documenting and sharing evidence-based practices and methodologies for effective recruitment.
The Center collaborates with child welfare leaders to advocate for data-driven and effective recruitment strategies that enhance the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families involved in the foster care system. It offers on-site guidance to develop actionable recruitment plans that yield measurable results.
Role Responsibilities:
NAA is looking to hire multiple Diligent Recruitment Advisors who will report to the Director of Intensive Technical Assistance. These Advisors will provide tailored technical assistance through both in-person and virtual engagements, adapting to the specific needs of each jurisdiction. They will play a crucial role in helping systems navigate challenges to implement effective recruitment strategies.
Qualifications:
- A master's degree in social work, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field is preferred; a bachelor's degree with significant experience will also be considered.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in public child welfare.
- A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity is essential.
- Thorough understanding of technical assistance, capacity-building, and effective training methodologies.
- Proven experience in developing and executing diligent recruitment strategies.
- Experience in providing technical assistance or training to facilitate systemic change in public child welfare.
- Willingness to travel for on-site capacity-building services as needed.
