Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Forward Air. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support to all managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to all managers, including clerical duties, filing, and responding to emails.
  • Office Operations: Analyze and organize office operations and procedures, including information management, filing systems, and supply requisitions.
  • Communication: Establish uniform correspondence procedures and style practices, and maintain contact with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiently use software applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, to maximize office productivity.
  • Problem-Solving: Make decisions and/or final recommendations that affect multiple departments, and work independently to prioritize multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with a focus on performance recognition.
  • Communication: Proficiency in planning written and verbal communications, and excellent interpersonal skills both written and oral.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, including experience with AS400 operating systems and transportation industry knowledge.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to work some extended hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
