Who We Are Seeking
The Alpha Portfolio Services division is a committed global business unit collaborating with clients, operational teams, and IT to guarantee precise oversight of Front Office and Middle Office Information Delivery for our clientele.

Our Responsibilities
The Alpha Portfolio Services team is tasked with maintaining the integrity of the Investment book of records and ensuring that client portfolios are accurately represented on State Street platforms.

Role Overview
This position will engage with the clients' Investment Operations and Front Office, serving as a vital link with various portfolio managers and internal teams to identify issues and manage effective resolutions.

Communication and Relationship Management
The role requires the ability to foster strong communication and interpersonal relationships with operational teams and IT, ensuring the high-quality service currently provided to all clients is upheld.

Importance of This Role
The team you will be joining is part of State Street Global Delivery, which provides asset owners and managers with essential financial tools to deliver effective investment solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of senior management, you will be part of a team responsible for the comprehensive relationship between State Street Middle Office and our Alpha/Middle Office clients. This includes:

  • Monitoring portfolio health for assigned accounts, addressing issues related to cash, settlements, valuations, reconciliations, ad-hoc processing, and reporting.
  • Conducting pre/post cycle reviews.
  • Engaging with a variety of middle office, custody, and leadership colleagues within State Street, as well as clients and their counterparties, including custodians, accounting agents, and prime brokers.

Customer Liaison
Acting as a liaison with internal and external customers, you will advocate for the end customer, demonstrating negotiation skills, teamwork, and the ability to understand and translate customer requirements while addressing urgent matters.

Guidance and Problem Solving
You will guide team members and other teams through procedural challenges, presenting solutions and acting as an escalation point for resolving various issues impacting reconciliation outputs, file deliveries, and operational control framework checks.

Operational Control Review
Problem-solving for escalated issues and proactively reviewing operational controls, particularly focusing on the reconciliation function of middle office services, is a significant aspect of this role.

Metrics and Process Improvement
You will monitor metrics, ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), participate in management meetings, and implement process improvements to enhance operational statistics and compliance with risk controls.

Team Support
Providing guidance and support to team members across various operational areas will be essential.
