Vice President of Consolidation and Reporting

Position Summary:
The Vice President of Consolidation and Reporting for the Studio Group HQ at NBCUniversal will oversee the consolidation and financial reporting for the Studio Group Segment. This role is pivotal in steering controllership strategic initiatives in alignment with the objectives established by the CFO and Controller, while also focusing on the growth and development of the associated Controllership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example, embodying NBCU's core values: Integrity, Creativity, Teamwork, Pioneering Spirit, and Ownership.
- Establish and maintain a robust Controllership group that delivers top-tier consolidation, reporting, technical, and general accounting services across the Studio Group, ensuring high-quality outcomes through effective internal controls.
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly close processes for the Studio Group Segment, ensuring accurate financial reporting to NBCU Corporate, while coordinating with all global business units and divisions.
- Collaborate closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team during the close process to align timelines and reporting objectives.
- Manage additional areas such as net distribution accounting, intercompany transactions, and other controllership administration tasks.
- Identify and implement proactive solutions to mitigate risks, driving distributed controllership through various activities including balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations.
- Foster strong working relationships with business unit Controllers and CFOs, as well as NBCU Corporate Controllership teams, ensuring clear communication of operational and strategic objectives.
- Mentor and develop Director and Manager level staff, providing meaningful goals and feedback to support their career growth.
- Drive improvements in policy, process, and internal controls, contributing to initiatives related to technology innovation, including the implementation of enterprise-wide systems.
- Engage with Internal and External audit teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
12+ years of relevant experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
Experience managing teams in a global environment, particularly in global consolidation processes (ideally US GAAP).
Strong technical accounting skills and experience with internal controls and accounting systems.
