Position Summary
The Vice President of Consolidation and Reporting for the Studio Group will oversee the financial consolidation and reporting functions within NBCUniversal's Studio Group segment. This role is pivotal in driving strategic initiatives in controllership that align with the overarching goals set by senior leadership, while also focusing on the development of the controllership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture a high-performing controllership team that delivers top-tier consolidation, reporting, and accounting services across the Studio Group.
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly financial close processes for the Studio Group Segment, ensuring accurate reporting to corporate stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to align on timelines and reporting goals.
  • Lead additional functions including net distribution accounting and intercompany transactions.
  • Identify and implement proactive solutions to mitigate risks, enhancing controllership practices across the Studio Group.
  • Foster strong relationships with business unit Controllers and CFOs, ensuring clarity in operational and strategic objectives.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports, providing guidance and feedback to support their career growth within NBCUniversal.
  • Drive improvements in policies, processes, and internal controls, contributing to technology initiatives such as SAP S/4 implementation.
  • Engage with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in managing teams within a global environment, particularly in consolidation processes.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to apply accounting standards to business transactions.
  • Familiarity with internal controls and accounting processes, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
