As a pivotal member of the executive team, the Vice President of Revenue Management will report directly to the CEO of a distinguished logistics firm specializing in comprehensive freight solutions, including air and ocean freight forwarding, cold storage, customs brokerage, and E-Commerce services. This organization stands out as a leader in the air freight sector, renowned for its expertise in handling temperature-sensitive shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust growth strategy aimed at enhancing sales, operational efficiency, and superior customer service across targeted sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, Government, and Perishables.
- Drive client initiatives along critical global trade routes while collaborating with regional management to meet and exceed growth targets.
- Craft innovative service propositions that align with client capabilities, leading comprehensive sales cycles to expand the client base and foster organic growth.
- Serve as a subject matter expert within the industry, providing valuable insights and training to both internal teams and external partners, ensuring a customer-centric approach to all products and services.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience (5-10 years) in international freight forwarding, consolidations, and co-loading.
- Proven track record of success in selling to freight forwarders.
- Strong understanding of global air freight operations.
- Familiarity with temperature-controlled logistics.
- Experience in managing global or key accounts.
- Expertise in complex and consultative sales methodologies.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Knowledge of trade lanes including Asia, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Middle East.
- Experience in sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, Government/GSA, and Perishables.
- Proficient in computer systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in selling to shippers.
- Background in value-added sales, such as customs brokerage and warehousing solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish is a plus.
