Position Title: Principal Acquisition Program Engineer

Location: Eglin AFB, FL (On-Site)

Canvas Inc. is in search of a Principal Acquisition Program Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and review armament program portfolios to suggest alternative strategies, enhance systems engineering processes, and maintain program technical baselines. Conduct system-level tests to ensure compliance with established specifications.
  • Prepare management reports and deliver technical presentations to facilitate planning, implementation, and corrective actions, applying engineering principles effectively.
  • Analyze outcomes of significant engineering weapon systems to ensure performance standards are met.
  • Offer system and program engineering support, including technical training for various initiatives such as acquisition, development, integration, and operations oversight. Ensure compliance with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (AF SEAM) processes.
  • Conduct formal trade studies based on various engineering performance metrics, providing technical recommendations and support services including reviews, evaluations, and analyses.
  • Assist in proposal analysis to assess technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed systems and components.
  • Review approved system concepts and user requirements that are integrated into a system requirements baseline.
  • Provide expertise in the design, development, and testing of electro-technology systems, covering areas such as analog and digital circuits, signal processing, and electromagnetic compatibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience. A Master's degree in Engineering with 3 years of experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in A+ and SysML, with familiarity in MSBE and programming languages considered an asset.

Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
