Position Title: Principal Acquisition Program Engineer

Location: Eglin AFB, FL (On-Site)

Canvas Inc. is actively seeking a Principal Acquisition Program Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of armament program portfolios to assess and propose alternative strategies, enhance systems engineering processes, and maintain program technical baselines. This includes designing and executing system-level tests to ensure compliance with established specifications.
  • Prepare detailed management reports and deliver technical presentations to facilitate planning, implementation, and corrective measures, applying engineering principles effectively.
  • Analyze results from significant engineering weapon systems to derive insights and recommendations.
  • Offer system and program engineering support, including technical training for various initiatives encompassing acquisition, development, integration, and operational oversight. Contribute to program and project risk management in accordance with established Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (AF SEAM) protocols.
  • Conduct formal trade studies focused on engineering performance metrics, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and lifecycle considerations. Provide technical recommendations through reviews, studies, and analyses to support engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Evaluate proposals to assess technical feasibility and compatibility, including the analysis of Initial Capabilities Documents, Capability Development Documents, and other relevant assessments.
  • Review and interpret approved system concepts and user requirements within the system requirements baseline.
  • Provide expertise in the design, development, and testing of electro-technology systems, including analog and digital circuits, signal processing, and electromagnetic compatibility analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience. A Master's degree in Engineering with 3 years of experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in A+ and SysML; familiarity with MSBE and programming languages is advantageous.

Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
