Position Title: Systems Engineer - VENOM

Location: Eglin AFB, FL (On-Site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for customer requirements, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with program engineers and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Collect and analyze requirements from both the customer and internal teams to facilitate system integration.
  • Collaborate with engineers and SMEs across various disciplines to fulfill mission support requirements.
  • Organize and lead meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Provide updates on program status and timelines to leadership and clients.
  • Comprehend overall project needs to guide deliverables, documentation, and briefings, translating requirements into actionable tasks.
  • Contribute to software project planning by converting business needs and specifications into functional software and data products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant and progressive experience in systems engineering.
  • Proficient understanding of large-scale networking systems and data transport mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with software integration in Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) environments.
  • Knowledge of time, space, position information (TSPI), and telemetry data.
  • Experience with Authorities to Operate (ATO) processes.
  • Solid grasp of system networking and systems of systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to engage with customers and present information effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and provide timely updates on progress to both customers and leadership.
  • A multidisciplinary background in complex systems design and integration, including systems engineering, project management for IT, and cybersecurity knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience in DoD testing and systems integration, as well as an understanding of security controls and cybersecurity principles.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.

Security Clearance: Candidates must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
