Position Title: Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Eglin AFB, FL (On-Site)

Canvas Inc. is in search of skilled professionals to join our team in support of advanced testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will contribute to the mission of the 780th Test Squadron, recognized as the developmental testing authority for various munitions systems. A solid understanding of military tactics and operational procedures is essential. Previous experience in both developmental and operational testing is highly valued, along with aircrew experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft comprehensive test planning documentation for innovative weapon systems.
  • Anticipate and allocate necessary test resources and range specifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with program offices and primary contractors.
  • Serve as the test director during mission execution.
  • Conduct thorough briefings and debriefings with aircrew regarding mission objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering with a minimum of ten years in acquisition roles, including at least six years in Test & Evaluation (T&E) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, range operations, aircraft, aircrew, data management, and safety protocols associated with developmental testing.
  • Experience in classified testing environments, including Special Access Programs.
  • Familiarity with Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) testing at various locations.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and address competing resource demands.
  • Self-driven to learn new systems under evaluation and proactive in fulfilling program needs.
  • Proven ability to devise innovative strategies to meet rigorous testing timelines.
  • Background in USAF and USN operations and weapon systems is preferred.
  • Graduates of Test Pilot School or Fighter Weapons School are highly regarded.

Security Clearance: Candidates must possess and maintain a secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret/SCI access.
