Patient Services Representative

The role of the Patient Services Representative is crucial in delivering exceptional administrative and clerical support within a healthcare environment. This position involves engaging with patients and visitors, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Interaction: Welcome patients and visitors, facilitate check-in and check-out processes, and ensure all necessary documentation is collected. Accurately verify and input demographic information.
- Insurance Coordination: Obtain and confirm insurance authorizations and precertifications. Process medical record release requests and manage the scheduling and confirmation of patient appointments.
- Financial Transactions: Accurately enter, review, and submit charges for patient services on a daily basis. Collect co-payments and ensure the accuracy of daily reports and deposits.
- Administrative Support: Provide general office and clerical assistance to the designated area, contributing to the overall efficiency of operations.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, or a minimum of one year of relevant experience in a similar role. Note that applicable professional licensure or certification may substitute for education or experience.
