**Job Responsibilities:**
We are in search of a skilled Business Development Executive to enhance our footprint in the Northeast market. This newly created role presents an excellent opportunity for driven sales professionals who thrive in a flexible, goal-oriented environment.
- You will be tasked with developing and securing new freight forwarding business across all modes and services in the Northeast region.
- Reporting directly to senior management.
- Additional responsibilities will encompass: setting appointments, qualifying leads, conducting warm and cold calls, pricing strategies, proposal preparation, face-to-face client presentations, and delivering innovative solutions to secure new business. You will also be expected to maintain client relationships through coordination with our operations team.
- Proficient use of the CargoWise system (CRM), pipeline reporting, and internal communication regarding sales cycles are essential for success in this role.
**Job Requirements:**
- Proven success in Freight Forwarding Sales.
- A college degree is preferred, although a high school diploma with proven sales experience may be considered.
- Familiarity with the Northeast regional markets.
- Knowledge of Trans-Pacific, European, and Latin American trade lanes.
- Experience in multimodal sales (Air, Ocean, Import, Export, LCL/FCL, Brokerage FTL/LTL).
- Demonstrated skills in business development and territory management.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
