About the Role

Care Pavilion Nursing and Rehab is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team.

The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for managing facility employees in the provision of care and services rendered in accordance with professional standards and in compliance with state and federal laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policies and Procedures: Ensure that all policies, procedures, and reporting requirements are followed in compliance with corporate, legal, and government regulations.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Recruit, interview, test, and assist department heads with the selection of qualified employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Employee Onboarding: Prepare offer letters and rejection responses, schedule and participate in new employee orientation programs, and ensure that pre-orientation procedures are completed.
  • HR Administration: Maintain appropriate records of benefit plan participation, personnel transactions, and employee statistics as required for government reporting.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate, schedule, and present training programs to ensure that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Employee Relations: Advise management in the resolution of employee relation issues and respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Performance Management: Administer the performance evaluation program to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer the salary administration program to ensure compliance and internal equity, and administer benefits programs such as life, health, dental, and disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Investigations and Separations: Investigate accidents and prepare required reports, and prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Certifications: PHR/SPHR desired.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in human resources, with experience in a nursing home or health care environment preferred.
