Position Overview

The HR Coordinator serves as a vital administrative resource within HR Operations, delivering essential support to both employees and management regarding Human Resources matters. This role embodies the principles of employee advocacy and HR expertise, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution. The HR Coordinator plays a crucial role in addressing HR-related inquiries and directing them to the appropriate HR Business Partners or Centers of Excellence, ensuring that the organization’s objectives are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the Jefferson Code of Conduct and adhere to all organizational policies.
  • Exhibit knowledge and compliance with safety and infection control protocols as mandated by regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for three hospital campuses, collectively comprising around 4,000 employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality across all HR operations.
  • Act as the main liaison for employees and managers seeking assistance from the HR Operations Office.
  • Address initial inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll, determining the need for escalation to HR Business Partners or Service Centers.
  • Facilitate the execution of HR processes tailored to client needs.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with HR service delivery.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director, HR Business Partners, and Generalists.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable related to HR functions.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to resolve escalated employee issues.
  • Engage with colleagues, visitors, and staff in alignment with Jefferson’s core values.
  • Coordinate employee service events and respond to inquiries regarding service time.
  • Efficiently manage unemployment claims for the division.
  • Oversee the online employee file management process, including I-9 and license certification for new hires.
  • Audit and update HR information systems as necessary.
  • Administer the employment verification process.
  • Assist with special projects, including employee recognition initiatives and service events.
  • May provide support to client groups under the guidance of an HR partner.
Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience is required, with at least 3 years in an HR capacity or related field.
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in Human Resources is advantageous.
