Job Overview

Julius Silvert, a prominent family-owned food wholesale distribution company, is seeking a dynamic leader for the position of Director of Human Resources. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with ownership and the leadership team to influence the organization's strategic direction, service delivery, and overall management.
  • Human Resources Vision: Provide innovative leadership across all aspects of Human Resources, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and values.

Core Duties:

  • Work alongside senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals regarding staffing, recruitment, and employee retention.
  • Design, implement, and oversee HR policies, processes, and training initiatives to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
  • Manage human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Identify and fulfill staffing needs, establishing best practices for recruitment and talent management.
  • Engage with employees and departments to promote a positive organizational culture and facilitate events.
  • Conduct analysis of HR metrics and trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, recommending best practices and updating policies as necessary.
  • Stay informed on HR trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies, communicating relevant updates to management.
  • Oversee the development and management of the HR departmental budget.
  • Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Lead the annual performance evaluation and compensation adjustment processes.
  • Manage employee disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a senior HR role.
  • Proven success in implementing HR processes and managing change.
  • Familiarity with ADP systems is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR compliance regulations and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conflict resolution and management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
