Job Overview

SUMMARY: The Human Resources Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the functions of the Human Resources department across various domains. Responsibilities encompass talent acquisition, candidate evaluation and interviewing, onboarding processes, HR service management, data management, event organization, and additional administrative duties as required. This position reports directly to the HR Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Talent Acquisition
    • Oversees the sourcing and recruitment of candidates from diverse local and national platforms.
    • Engages in recruitment activities at job fairs, educational institutions, community organizations, and other venues.
    • Manages the recruitment process for open roles assigned by the HR Director.
  • Compliance Management
    • Monitors and ensures adherence to training, performance assessments, and certification requirements.
    • Conducts thorough background checks and verification processes.
    • Maintains compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Onboarding and Orientation
    • Facilitates the onboarding process and orientation for new hires.
  • Payroll Assistance
    • Supports payroll processing through the relevant systems.
    • Delivers exceptional customer service in response to payroll inquiries and concerns.
  • Event Coordination and Project Management
    • Assists in organizing events and training sessions.
    • Tracks and ensures compliance with staff training requirements.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Addresses HR service inquiries.
    • Conducts data entry and maintains employee records.
    • Administers various human resource programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to read fine print on various media.
  • Travel between company locations may be necessary.
  • Must be capable of lifting 20 lbs and navigating stairs.
