Step into a crucial Client Manager position that drives our strategic vision forward. This role is pivotal for growth and success, hinging on technical expertise and the external client and business partnerships we nurture. The Client Manager is tasked with ensuring GBA's technical excellence remains at the forefront of client and business interactions, promoting our innovative project delivery methods. This role is highly visible both internally and externally, involving collaboration with large, complex municipalities and private clients to meet their ultimate needs through a thoughtful approach to problem-solving and a commitment to generating fresh, innovative ideas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a team dedicated to expanding our private and municipal practices, with sales targets ranging from $500K to $5M.
  • Enhance client accounts and promote the comprehensive suite of services offered by GBA.
  • Serve as a vital link between clients and project teams, providing consultation and support.
  • Work alongside technical staff to create written proposals, presentations, and budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts and service delivery terms.
  • Maintain and develop account relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to craft offerings and positioning materials.
  • Participate in sales meetings and discussions.
  • Ensure project invoicing is completed for client accounts and assist in collecting overdue receivables.
  • Focus on creating opportunities for senior and technical staff.
  • Identify potential opportunities early to position GBA for success.
  • Attend conferences and workshops to strengthen existing relationships, forge new connections, and identify emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to serving and leading in a focused, dynamic team environment.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the account management team.
Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience in marketplace execution and management.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field from an accredited program is preferred.
  • Proven experience in the industry.
  • Ability to identify, lead, and engage in business development, bid, and proposal efforts.
  • Strong motivation to grow an organization and inspire others.
  • Understanding of the business development cycle specific to consulting, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and presentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Travel Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S. to client and company facilities up to 30% of the time.
