The Vice President of Wealth Management will be responsible for leading and nurturing a team of licensed wealth advisors within CommunityAmerica Credit Union. This position is pivotal in ensuring the provision of exceptional wealth management services and advice to our clientele. The VP will focus on recruiting, training, and enhancing the performance of Wealth Advisors as they cultivate and manage a substantial portfolio of clients. This role is essential in driving the growth and success of our wealth management division by promoting a client-focused culture, crafting effective strategies, and empowering advisors to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement strategic initiatives aimed at increasing revenue and achieving the objectives of the wealth management division. Ensure that the team's goals align with the broader business strategy.
  • Recruit, mentor, and supervise the daily operations of Wealth Advisors. Provide leadership and support to guarantee that both individual and team performance meets expectations. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages growth and client satisfaction.
  • Create a comprehensive onboarding and training program for advisors to equip them with the necessary tools for success and to build strong client relationships.
  • Set individual and team sales targets and hold team members accountable for achieving these goals. Offer coaching and constructive feedback to promote advisor success.
  • Assist advisors in developing and managing their client portfolios. Design and implement strategies to attract and retain high-net-worth clients while identifying growth opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Ensure the delivery of outstanding wealth management services to clients. Oversee the creation of tailored financial plans and investment strategies that align with clients' goals and needs, while supporting advisors in navigating complex client situations.
  • Monitor and evaluate market trends to ensure that the team's offerings remain competitive and responsive to client demands.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators related to advisor effectiveness, client satisfaction, and business expansion. Provide regular updates to senior management regarding the team's achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations, maintaining adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Supervise risk management practices within the team.
  • Manage annual revenue and expense forecasting to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate the implementation of new technologies and services, acting as a liaison between IT and Wealth Advisors.
  • Enhance the branch referral program and tracking systems, and implement a structured training program for credit union staff.
  • Participate in community events, conferences, and other gatherings as necessary to promote the wealth management services of CommunityAmerica Credit Union.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role within wealth management, financial services, or a similar field.
  • Possession of Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses (or equivalent) along with Life and Health insurance licenses is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities, with a history of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Proven experience in sales management within the financial services sector, with a solid understanding of wealth management and credit union operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive revenue growth and enhance program performance.
