As a pivotal Client Relationship Manager, you will drive our strategic vision forward. The Client Relationship Manager is tasked with ensuring that GBA's technical capabilities remain at the forefront of client and business relationships, effectively marketing our innovative project delivery methods. This position is highly visible both internally and externally, involving collaboration with large, complex municipalities and private clients to meet their ultimate needs through a methodical approach to problem-solving and a commitment to generating fresh, innovative ideas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a team focused on expanding our private and municipal practices, with sales goals ranging from $500K to $5M.
  • Enhance client accounts and promote the full range of services offered by GBA.
  • Serve as a vital link between clients and project staff.
  • Work alongside technical teams to develop written proposals, presentations, and budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts and service delivery terms.
  • Maintain and nurture account relationships to foster revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create service offerings and positioning materials.
  • Participate in sales meetings and discussions.
  • Ensure project invoicing is completed for client accounts and assist in collecting overdue receivables.
  • Focus externally on facilitating introductions for senior and technical staff.
  • Identify opportunities early to position GBA favorably for winning projects.
  • Attend conferences and workshops to strengthen existing relationships, forge new connections, and identify emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to serving and leading within a dynamic team environment.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the account management team.
Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in marketplace execution and management.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field from an accredited program is preferred.
  • Proven experience in industry engagement.
  • Ability to lead and participate in business development, bid, and proposal initiatives.
  • A strong desire to grow an organization and the capability to inspire others.
  • Understanding of the business development cycle specific to consulting, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and presentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Travel Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S. to client and company facilities up to 30% of the time.
