Position Overview:
As a Client Manager at Kansas Action for Children, you will play a crucial role in fostering and enhancing client relationships. This position offers the opportunity to lead and develop client service teams, leveraging the diverse talent within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the strategic vision of the organization by taking on a pivotal role in client management.
  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise to effectively address client needs and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with large municipalities and private clients to understand and fulfill their requirements through a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Grow client accounts and promote the comprehensive range of services offered by Kansas Action for Children.
  • Provide expert consultation to clients and project teams, acting as a vital link between them.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to create compelling proposals, presentations, and budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts and service delivery terms to ensure mutual satisfaction.
  • Maintain and nurture account relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team to develop promotional materials and positioning strategies.
  • Participate in sales meetings and ensure timely project invoicing and collection of overdue accounts.
  • Focus on identifying opportunities early to strategically position the organization for success.
  • Attend industry conferences and workshops to strengthen existing relationships and forge new connections.
  • Exhibit a commitment to serving and leading within a dynamic team environment.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the account management team.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in client management.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences or public policy is preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development and proposal management.
  • A strong desire to contribute to organizational growth and the ability to inspire others.
  • Understanding of the business development cycle specific to consulting, including opportunity identification and proposal development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel within the U.S. to meet with clients and stakeholders as needed.
