Job DescriptionPosition Title: Summer Credit Analyst

Overview: We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Summer Credit Analyst to support our credit team during the summer internship program. This position provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in credit evaluation, focusing on the assessment of creditworthiness and risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the examination of financial documents, credit histories, and other pertinent information to evaluate the creditworthiness of clients.
  • Support the analysis of credit applications by performing risk assessments and scrutinizing financial records.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to collect and interpret data related to credit exposure, repayment patterns, and overall financial health.
  • Draft comprehensive credit reports and recommendations, detailing risk evaluations, credit limits, and approval suggestions.
  • Oversee and monitor credit portfolios, identifying potential risks and proposing necessary actions.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of credit policies and procedures aimed at effective risk management.
  • Engage in credit strategy meetings, offering insights on risk management and portfolio analysis.
  • Assist with various credit-related projects and tasks, including data gathering, analysis, and reporting as required.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Fundamental understanding of credit analysis concepts, financial statements, and risk management practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software; familiarity with credit management tools is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting financial data and delivering actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and presentation of findings.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in credit analysis and reporting.
  • Willingness to learn and apply credit analysis techniques in a practical environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
