The Credit Risk Management Supervisor will oversee the complete lending process, from initial application to underwriting and final decision-making.
This role involves analyzing credit data and financial statements of both new and existing clients to assess the risk associated with extending credit or providing loans. The supervisor will prepare comprehensive reports based on this analysis to aid in decision-making.
Key responsibilities include monitoring repayment progress, managing collections for overdue accounts, and leading the Credit Department. This position will also coordinate training and development initiatives for the credit team across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure all necessary loan request information is available to initiate the underwriting process.
- Address any deficiencies in loan packages and resolve structural issues.
- Evaluate the status of credit requests and prioritize workloads to meet lender and customer needs.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, ensuring adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement training programs for credit analysts, utilizing various instructional methods.
- Analyze financial data to assess the risk of extending credit or loans.
- Prepare loan memorandums and submit them for committee approval.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of credit underwriting documents.
- Manage the workflow and administrative functions of the Credit Department.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage personnel-related duties within the team.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
