Position Overview:
We are in search of a Capital Markets Credit Officer.

This role involves a comprehensive analysis and underwriting of assigned participation accounts and offers, alongside the management of these accounts.

The Capital Markets Credit Officer will play a key role in the analysis, servicing, and reporting of loan participations.

Additionally, the position entails developing industry and peer group assessments, portfolio evaluations, and undertaking special projects as assigned.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct credit administration, financial assessments, and due diligence reviews of various financial participation packages and loan origination with district associations or commercial agency lenders.
  • Cultivate loan participation and correspondent banking relationships with other lenders, managing and servicing assigned participation loan relationships as directed by the supervisor.
  • Assist in the structuring and closing of complex loans through analysis and negotiation.
  • Provide interpretation, communication, and guidance to associations regarding district lending policies and procedures.
  • Address various legal, title, and other inquiries that may arise concerning loans.
  • Support the administration and development of lending programs, along with the formulation and revision of operational procedures related to lending activities.
  • Collaborate with other bank personnel on coordinated projects as assigned.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in all aspects of lending, including marketing, extension, administration, and analysis of commercial credit.

The candidate should possess experience and expertise in analyzing complex credits, as well as negotiating and managing commercial loans.

Experience in collaborating with financial institutions to structure and evaluate various loan participations, credit relationships, and direct loan analysis is essential.

This position demands proficiency in credit administration, financial analysis, and familiarity with various loan analysis software, accounting standards, credit policies, and procedures, along with program and product development.

Excellent computer, interpersonal, public speaking, and communication skills are required.

A comprehensive understanding of financial statement analysis, forecasting, cash flow analysis, collateral assessment, and payment performance in mortgage and commercial lending is necessary.

Knowledge of credit and accounting standards, real estate appraisals, and marketing techniques is also required. The ability to accurately identify, measure, and manage risk in loans, loan portfolios, and direct loans is crucial. This position may involve travel up to 15 percent.
