Position Title: Summer Financial Analysis Intern

Overview: We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Summer Financial Analysis Intern to support our finance department during the summer months. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to acquire practical experience in financial analysis and planning, aiding the finance team in crafting budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and evaluation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial strategies.
  • Support the creation and upkeep of financial models to predict future financial outcomes and analyze various scenarios.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to collect and assess data related to revenue, costs, and profitability.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations, including variance and trend analyses, as well as key performance indicators.
  • Conduct research on financial trends, industry standards, and market dynamics to bolster financial planning initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance against established budgets and forecasts, identifying discrepancies and suggesting corrective measures.
  • Engage in financial planning discussions, offering insights and contributing to the formulation of financial strategies and goals.
  • Assist with special financial planning projects and tasks as required, including data gathering, analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline (must be a current student).
  • Fundamental understanding of financial planning and analysis concepts, financial modeling, and budgeting processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools; familiarity with financial planning software is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting financial data and providing actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capability to effectively convey financial findings.
  • Detail-oriented, emphasizing accuracy and thoroughness in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Willingness to learn and implement financial planning practices in a professional environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
