Job Overview:

Credit Review Supervisor

The Credit Review Supervisor position entails leading our team and clients in providing Crowe's credit review and consulting services, which include outsourced and co-sourced credit evaluations, staff support, and credit remediation. Individuals in this role possess extensive expertise in credit assessments and all facets of commercial banking. Supervisors are also tasked with identifying and cultivating opportunities with both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability for engagement management, encompassing project planning, oversight, budget management, staff supervision, and work review.
  • Facilitate the business development process by generating leads, engaging with potential clients, collaborating with a team to create impactful proposals, and assisting with client onboarding.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and dedication to fostering the growth of team members and clients by sharing credit knowledge with Crowe staff and client leadership.
  • Analyze regulatory changes and devise solutions to address them, including developing thought leadership and providing training for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assess and identify credit risks, including emerging market risks, while understanding credit controls that help mitigate risks and related opportunities for internal control enhancement.
  • Contribute to internal project initiatives.

Qualifications:

Educational and Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in credit review, commercial credit management, professional services, or consulting.
  • Credit certification such as CRC or BAI is advantageous.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. banking laws and regulations, particularly those related to commercial credit, underwriting, and credit department management.
  • Prior experience managing a credit review team and maintaining a network of credit professionals is beneficial.
  • Experience with larger financial institutions (over $10 billion) is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to leveraged lending and large corporate environments is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing and conducting credit reviews or providing credit consulting services.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of management with minimal supervision.
  • Strong proficiency with technology, including Excel, PowerPoint, FIS, Jack Henry, nCino, FISERV, and other banking software.
  • Experience in data analysis is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with project planning and management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in business development, including relationship management and proposal preparation.
  • Supervisory experience, including reviewing staff work products and providing constructive feedback.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel, as some travel is necessary to engage with clients and support teams on-site.
