Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Capital Markets Credit Analyst. This role involves a thorough examination and underwriting of assigned participation accounts and offers, as well as the management of these accounts.

The Capital Markets Credit Analyst will play a key role in analyzing, servicing, and reporting on loan participations.

This position also requires the individual to conduct industry and peer group assessments, portfolio evaluations, and other special projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee credit administration, financial analysis, and due diligence reviews of various financial participation packages and loan origination with district associations or commercial agency lenders.
  • Establish and nurture loan participation and correspondent banking relationships with other financial institutions. The incumbent will also manage and service assigned participation loan relationships as directed by their supervisor.
  • Assist in the structuring and closing of complex loans by providing analytical support and negotiating terms.
  • Interpret, communicate, and offer guidance to associations regarding district lending policies and procedures.
  • Address various legal, title, and other inquiries that may arise in relation to loans.
  • Support the administration and development of lending programs, along with the creation and revision of operational procedures related to lending activities.
  • Collaborate with other bank personnel on coordinated projects as assigned.

This pivotal role encompasses a diverse skill set. The position requires:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in various aspects of lending, including marketing, administration, and analysis of commercial credit.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex credits, as well as negotiating and managing commercial loans.
  • Experience collaborating with financial institutions in structuring and evaluating loan participations and credit relationships.

This role demands expertise in credit administration, financial analysis, and familiarity with various loan analysis software, accounting standards, credit policies, and program development. Strong computer, interpersonal, public speaking, and communication skills are essential. A comprehensive understanding of financial statement analysis, forecasting, cash flow analysis, collateral assessment, and payment performance in mortgage and commercial lending is required. Knowledge of credit and accounting standards, real estate appraisals, and marketing techniques is also necessary. The ability to accurately identify, measure, and manage risk in loans and loan portfolios is crucial. This position may involve travel up to 15 percent.
