Role Summary:

The Facilities Operations Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the Fleet and Facilities department. This role entails coordinating responses to facility-related requests both internally and with external tenants. The supervisor will cultivate tenant relationships, which include managing rent collection, addressing service requests, ensuring adherence to lease agreements, and maintaining effective communication with tenants, leaseholders, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the facilities team.
  • Assist in the operational management and oversight of the organization's facilities.
  • Conduct various maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, and electrical maintenance.
  • Monitor and address maintenance requests received through various channels.
  • Ensure all individuals are greeted and assisted with a professional and caring approach.
  • Act as the primary contact for after-hours emergencies and coordinate responses.
  • Manage multiple projects effectively and demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Support predictive and preventative maintenance initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records related to facilities to meet organizational standards.
  • Serve as the main communication link between facilities staff, management, employees, landlords, tenants, and property managers.
  • Work directly with tenants to ensure compliance with lease obligations.
  • Exhibit initiative and teamwork to fulfill departmental needs.
  • Provide weekly updates to management regarding workload and any concerns.
  • Assist other departments as needed beyond facilities-related tasks.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance.
  • Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

  • Ability to remain composed in crisis situations and work collaboratively.
  • A valid driver's license and appropriate insurance are required for driving on agency business.

Work Environment:

  • Work may be conducted in various settings, including indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Physical demands include the ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent travel to different worksites may be necessary.
