Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Claims Management Supervisor to oversee our billing operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that all patient visit claims are processed accurately and in compliance with various carrier requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily billing operations for claims submitted to insurance providers, patients, and employers, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and payer guidelines.
  • Develop and update departmental policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes.
  • Supervise the billing team, including clerks, coordinators, and auditors, ensuring effective distribution of tasks and adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure timely billing for new acquisitions and existing clinic charges, as well as manage clearinghouse submissions.
  • Collaborate with collections, credentialing, and cash posting teams to address issues affecting claim payments and denials.
  • Stay informed about billing regulations across all operational states and adapt processes accordingly.
  • Evaluate claim edits and ensure thorough review before submission to the clearinghouse.
  • Assist in troubleshooting billing issues and system errors, working closely with management to streamline processes.
  • Integrate new clinics and states into the billing framework as the company expands.
  • Conduct staffing, training, and other HR-related functions within the department.
  • Uphold the company’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in accounts receivable management, billing, and collections.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience with a solid understanding of insurance processes and patient eligibility.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle management in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic internet applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Nextgen PM/EHR systems.
  • Knowledge of Waystar Clearinghouse and payer provider portals.
  • Understanding of medical billing terminology.
