Facility Operations Supervisor
Join our team at Nelson Connects as we seek a dedicated individual to oversee the operations of a large-scale facility.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead the management of an extensive facility, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency to facilitate seamless daily functions.

Collaborate with upper management to devise and implement strategies that align with operational and customer expectations.
Employ LEAN methodologies, quality assurance practices, and cost management techniques to fulfill organizational objectives and foster growth.
Delegate tasks, supervise work completion, and ensure precision in operations.
Evaluate existing procedures, drive enhancements, and mentor team members through effective training and coaching.
Maintain a secure working environment, address employee concerns, and enforce corrective measures.
Oversee daily logistics and light manufacturing processes, tackling performance issues and developing action plans for improvement.
Manage staff in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
Surpass customer expectations in terms of cost, quality, and responsiveness while leading collaborative initiatives with cross-functional teams.
Engage regularly with both internal and external stakeholders.
Organize personnel schedules to support various shifts and manage workload distribution.
Maintain accurate process documentation and educate team members on company policies and procedures.
Ensure operational continuity, employee safety, and productivity.
Provide regular updates on quality, safety, delivery, costs, and team morale to management and peers.
Establish production timelines and guarantee daily targets are achieved.
Create product quality assessment tools and monitor adherence.
Track performance metrics and KPIs for productivity and financial management.
Collaborate with management and other departments to address challenges.
Maintain strong customer relationships and respond to their needs effectively.

What You Bring:

Qualifications:
Experience in process enhancement methodologies.
Familiarity with RF scanning technology and standardized operational processes.
Knowledge of inventory management, receiving, and shipping protocols.
Exceptional communication abilities.
A strong sense of urgency and a commitment to excellence.
Integrity and the capacity to follow directives.
Adaptability to changing circumstances.
Physical capability to perform tasks, including lifting items up to 50 lbs.

Preferred skills include financial oversight, warehouse and transportation expertise, safety management, business strategy, project coordination, quality assurance, human resources, and proficiency in ERP/MRP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Cargowise).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Experience:
5-8 years of leadership experience in logistics, warehousing, and distribution (educational background may substitute for experience).
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration or industrial management/engineering.
Intermediate skills in mathematics and writing.
Advanced computer proficiency (MRP experience preferred).
3-5 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
Familiarity with handheld RF devices and forklift certification (both sit-down and stand-up) are advantageous.

Compensation:
Competitive salary range of $95k-$110k
