Position Overview:
We are in search of a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer who will be instrumental in crafting initial concepts and foundational designs for mechanical systems in our fleet trucks, facilitating their deployment across various platforms and mine sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of Mechanical Engineering deliverables for Hybrid Electric Vehicle initiatives, with multiple models set to reach customers shortly.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the Mechanical Systems team, guiding the design and analysis of vehicle systems.
- Oversee the configuration management of the HEV platform, conducting subsystem and system-level evaluations, and collaborating with the Manufacturing Team to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery of hardware to testing and customer sites.

- Collaborate with the Product Team to assess structural and mass implications across different product generations.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks to discipline engineers, reviewing and approving Mechanical Engineering drawings and analysis packages.
- Define and manage interfaces for Haul Truck Systems and critical subsystem components.

Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry.
- At least 7 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical design for over 7 years.
- Extensive hands-on experience in hardware design, prototyping, fabrication, and assembly for 10 years.
- Familiarity with GD&T application on design drawings for 7 years.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Experience in static, dynamic, and thermal analysis of mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of casting designs and design-for-casting manufacturing is a strong advantage.
- Experience in designing for durability based on lifetime requirements.
- Proficiency in NX CAD and TeamCenter tools or other PDM/PLM systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a multi-functional product to production scale.

Additional Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required to engage with customers, vendors, and partners, as well as to coordinate with teams in different locations.

Location:
This position is based at our headquarters, requiring in-office work for more than 60% of the time.
