Our Seattle Office is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to become a vital member of our interdisciplinary design team. Our projects span various sectors, including data centers, healthcare facilities, performing arts venues, laboratories, and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in mechanical design for diverse projects, including healthcare, data centers, laboratories, educational institutions, cultural venues, airports, and commercial buildings.
  • Develop comprehensive mechanical engineering designs from initial concept through to construction administration.
  • Conduct thermal load modeling for projects using advanced three-dimensional BIM tools.
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines and work closely with project managers to ensure project success.
  • Prepare detailed reports for both internal and external stakeholders based on analytical findings.
  • Deliver technical presentations in both traditional and innovative formats for audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate actively in local professional associations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in designing HVAC systems for buildings, including airside and hydronic components.
  • Proficiency in 3D BIM software, particularly Revit MEP.
  • Experience with load analysis software for accurate calculations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential for effective teamwork.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Presentation skills suitable for engaging with colleagues and clients at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is desired; candidates should be working towards Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus.

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $88,500 and $115,000 per year, exclusive of benefits. Please note that salary ranges may vary for candidates working outside of Seattle.
