Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team as a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional respiratory care to pediatric patients. This position offers a competitive $20,000 sign-on bonus and a relocation bonus for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, you will:
  • Evaluate respiratory care requirements and implement diagnostic assessments and therapeutic strategies with proficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in accordance with professional standards and departmental protocols.
  • Effectively communicate patient responses to respiratory interventions and suggest necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement through active participation in performance improvement initiatives and adherence to established procedures.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through educational opportunities, certifications, and participation in professional organizations, while also mentoring new learners.
  • Utilize innovative technologies to enhance patient care and contribute to the implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation:
The hourly compensation for this position is $47.26.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program, with an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
  • Licensure/Certification: Must hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). An active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required within 90 days of hire. Must be licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Virginia and possess American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires prolonged standing, frequent walking, and bending. Candidates must possess strong communication, auditory, and visual skills, along with attention to detail and legible writing ability. The ability to lift, push, or pull is necessary, and there may be exposure to various health-related materials.
