As part of your role, you will:
- Assess respiratory care needs and apply diagnostic testing and therapeutic plans with expertise.
- Document patient care in line with professional standards and departmental guidelines.
- Effectively communicate patient responses to respiratory therapy interventions and recommend necessary modifications to the patient care plan.

Compensation:
$48.21 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy educational program. An Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy is preferred.
Experience:
12 months of acute/critical care Respiratory Therapy clinical experience.
License/Certification:
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.
Active NBRC Specialty Credential (e.g., RRT-ACCS, RRT-NPS) is required within 2 years of hire for Medical Center Respiratory Therapists; ACLS is required for TCH Respiratory Therapists within 3 months of hire.
Physical Demands:
This position requires standing for extended periods, frequent travel, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are necessary; attention to detail and the ability to write legibly are essential. The ability to lift/push/pull is required. Exposure to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
