Your Role:
As a Certified Respiratory Care Specialist, you will:
- Conduct thorough assessments of respiratory care needs and apply diagnostic testing and therapeutic strategies with precision.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in accordance with professional standards and departmental protocols.
- Communicate effectively regarding patient responses to therapy and suggest necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Commit to quality improvement through understanding processes, data, and outcomes, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through formal education, certification, and active participation in professional organizations.
- Innovate by applying new technologies that enhance patient care and contribute to the implementation of evidence-based practices.

Compensation:
Position compensation is competitive, reflecting your skills and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program; an Associate degree is required, while a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 12 months in acute or critical care respiratory therapy.
- Licensure/Certification: Must hold an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and be licensed to practice in Virginia. Additional certifications from the American Heart Association are required.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves standing for extended periods, frequent movement, and the ability to lift and handle equipment. Proficient communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
