Position Overview:

The Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the admissions process for individuals seeking services. This position is responsible for gathering initial information related to admissions, coordinating the intake process, and providing essential information and referrals to community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in promoting the program to potential participants and community organizations.
  • Collect and document necessary information for the admissions process.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth intake experience.
  • Provide information and referrals to appropriate community agencies as needed.
Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in business, health, or human services, or a high school diploma with relevant office assistant training.

Experience: Minimum of two years in a marketing or admissions role within a healthcare setting, or experience in information and referral services in the senior care network. At least one year of experience working with elderly or frail populations is required.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate the program's philosophy and model to the community.
  • Knowledge of the physical, psychosocial, and behavioral needs of the elderly.
  • Familiarity with local community health and social service systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Medicaid and financial assessment processes.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and data management.
Physical Requirements:

Must be in good mental and physical health, capable of performing assigned tasks, including lifting and handling patients. Requires mobility for standing, walking, and reaching in various settings.
