Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Float Pool Specialist to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will provide direct patient care under the delegation and/or supervision of a nurse or healthcare provider.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including gathering vital signs, specimen collection, and communicating changes in patient condition.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized care area, including stocking and restocking medical supplies.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties, such as filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Collaborate with specialized ancillary team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration (Medical Assistant I) preferred.
  • UCHealth will consider candidates with 3 years of Medical Assistant experience or graduates of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
