WORK SCHEDULE:

Full Time Days, 10-12 hour shifts, with varying shift dates.

Full Time Evenings, 10-12 hour shifts, with varying shift days.

Note: Shift hours may be adjusted based on operational needs.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Medical Technologist is responsible for the collection and analysis of laboratory specimens. This role involves working with various biological samples and employing techniques in Microbiology, Hematology, Immunology, Chemistry, and Urinalysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurate documentation of laboratory test results and participation in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives.
  • Oversee the Medical Laboratory Technician and Lab Assistant.
  • Collaborate with lab staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Conduct thorough examinations and analyses to support accurate diagnoses.
  • Safely manage infectious materials to ensure the safety of all laboratory personnel.
  • Perform blood collection procedures while adhering to universal precautions.
  • Assist the Director with instrument maintenance, supply ordering, and planning for new equipment acquisitions.
  • Ensure proficiency in operating and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
  • Review and validate final test reports and quality control outcomes.
  • Conduct phlebotomy as required.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Certification from ASCP or AMT.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly rate: $41.56

Night Shift Differential: $5.00/hr

Weekend Night Differential: $6.00/hr

Sign-on bonus of $10,000 after 90 days of employment.
