Position Overview: Client Executive – GTS, Apollo

Role Summary:

The Client Executive, Marketing Lead is tasked with formulating strategies for key regional accounts that hold significant strategic and revenue potential. This role primarily focuses on a select group of high-profile accounts (large, multinational corporations) and is accountable for generating new business within these accounts, adhering to a sales quota linked to specific clients. The Marketing Lead will also play a crucial role in supporting the product marketing division, including responsibilities typically associated with the Chief Marketing Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the strategic approach for major accounts, ensuring effective execution of sales and relationship management activities.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business strategies, objectives, and initiatives of large account clients, translating these insights into actionable sales opportunities.
  • Build and sustain executive-level relationships with clients, establishing trust and credibility as a key advisor.
  • Manage accounts with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Meet quota expectations aligned with designated strategic accounts.
  • Exhibit mastery in the execution of Gartner's internal sales methodologies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in account planning and territory management.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain awareness of competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Exercise fiscal responsibility regarding expense management.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Gartner's product offerings and services.
  • Support the product marketing function, including responsibilities typically associated with the CMO.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of external experience with a proven track record in consultative sales, ideally within the high technology sector (services, software, or hardware).
  • Ability to cultivate and manage relationships with C-level and senior executives in large multinational firms.
  • Demonstrated intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
  • Proven capability in building strong client relationships, providing valuable insights and strategic guidance.
  • Ability to comprehend enterprise-wide challenges and design innovative, integrated solutions that support IT decision-making for global companies.
  • Thorough understanding of technology purchasing dynamics.
  • Extensive industry knowledge relevant to specific vertical markets by territory.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver impactful presentations to decision-makers at the executive level.
  • Language proficiency as required by the territory.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Expertise in marketing is preferred.
