Position: Artistic Programs Coordinator
Position Summary: This role is pivotal in the orchestration, execution, and continuous assessment of enriching and age-appropriate dance and performing arts initiatives for participants aged 6-18. The coordinator will also oversee the organization’s annual showcase of performing arts talent. Responsibilities include a diverse range of programming options, member supervision, and collaborative efforts when suitable.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute high-quality, age-appropriate dance and performing arts programs for youth.
  • Manage the organization’s performing arts events and initiatives.
  • Oversee the supervision and guidance of participants in the program area and throughout the facility.
  • Fulfill assigned program activity standards as outlined annually.
  • Collaborate with program partners and experts to provide relevant instruction and support.
  • Participate in evaluation processes to assess program impact, including annual surveys.
  • Oversee budget management, resources, and ensure a safe and organized program environment.
  • Engage in individual and group supervision sessions and pursue professional development opportunities.
  • Travel between locations and events as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering performing arts programs for young audiences.
  • Experience in after-school or community-based settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with current trends in arts programming and technology utilization in the arts.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is required or must be obtained.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and web applications is preferred.
  • Ability to engage with youth and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying hours based on program needs.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
