Position Overview: The role of Program Manager is essential for the effective oversight and execution of projects within the Mass General Brigham's International Center for Genetic Disease.

This unique opportunity allows for involvement in pioneering international genomic medicine initiatives.

The Program Manager will collaborate closely with various departments, affiliated hospitals, faculty, and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide managerial, logistical, and administrative guidance.
  • Oversee project management on behalf of senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage the HMS-iCGD website and associated digital resources.
  • Assess staffing requirements and engage with HR for recruitment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and IRB protocols.
  • Supervise project coordinators and research assistants to meet institutional competencies.
  • Facilitate communication and problem-solving through regular team meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between financial and research teams regarding project funding.
  • Coordinate educational courses aimed at training healthcare professionals in genetic issues.
  • Address technical challenges promptly.
  • Organize meetings with collaborators and international delegations.
  • Manage the schedule of the director or oversee administrative support.
  • Engage in research activities and contribute to scientific discussions when interested.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is time-sensitive and may require availability outside standard hours due to global collaboration.

Supervisory Responsibilities: May involve managing a small team of administrative staff and interns.

Fiscal Responsibilities: Contribute to the management of various funding sources, including grants.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience in project management is essential.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with budget oversight and grant application processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
