Position Summary:

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Manager is responsible for cultivating a setting where nursing staff and support personnel deliver comprehensive care that prioritizes patient safety and enhances functional independence. This role requires a strong presence within the unit, working collaboratively with nursing staff, charge nurses, physicians, and other departmental leaders to ensure operational efficiency and high satisfaction levels among patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the activities of nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional judgment and supervisory discretion.
  • Coordinate daily operations of the unit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Foster a high-performing clinical team by recruiting and retaining skilled professionals, while also mentoring and evaluating staff performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at enhancing patient safety, quality of care, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular rounds with healthcare teams to facilitate effective communication and coordinated patient care.
  • Assess unit staffing needs and manage personnel schedules to maintain optimal care delivery.
  • Ensure that the department's facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe and operational condition.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Five years of relevant technical experience is preferred.
  • One year of leadership experience is preferred.
  • Two years of acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
  • National specialty certification in nursing administration or relevant area of expertise is preferred.
