Job Summary

The Director of Culinary Services at Life Care Center of Kona is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of food services to ensure daily provision of quality nutritional services in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of patients and residents
  • Supervise and train food service staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and budgeting to ensure efficient operations
  • Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to ensure accurate and timely nutrition documentation
  • Participate in interdisciplinary patient care meetings to discuss nutrition-related concerns
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards
Requirements
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in post-acute care food service
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
