About Our Client
Our client is a privately held manufacturer catering to clients in the aerospace sector.

They supply some of the most renowned aerospace brands globally and have demonstrated robust growth over the past two decades.

With a workforce of 100 and continuously expanding, the client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team as they enhance production capabilities.

Job Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
  • Develop comprehensive processes with associated time standards for production, as well as summary processes for quotation purposes.
  • Actively obtain external quotations for raw materials and services related to new projects.
  • Create manufacturing procedures, methods, and standards, and oversee their execution.
  • Consult with and advise shop supervision on issues related to methods, tooling, and handling to mitigate production challenges.
  • Provide technical assistance for the design and production of jigs, fixtures, and specialized tools, including their procurement and/or fabrication.
  • Establish testing requirements/procedures as necessary to ensure compliance with customer/design specifications.
  • Manage new product introductions, including routed processes, BOMs, in-process drawings, gauging, and the design/procurement/fabrication of specialized tooling.
  • Under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, develop cost justifications to support the acquisition of both capital and operational items.
  • Support the implementation of new equipment and processes.
  • Proactively address potential issues and prepare for upcoming projects ahead of their scheduled start dates.
  • When necessary, troubleshoot arising problems and resolve them promptly, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to address quality concerns.
  • Conduct value analysis on existing designs and provide recommendations to reduce overall product costs by advising engineering on manufacturability of generated designs.
  • Support Cellular Manufacturing and take a leadership role in setup reduction.
  • Participate in the MRB process by dispositioning rejects (NCRs) and creating necessary rework instructions.
  • Implement Engineering Change Orders promptly following established procedures.
  • Act as the primary liaison with customers and suppliers regarding manufacturing issues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including a background in tooling and fixture design.
  • Three or more years of experience with conventional lathe, mill, and CNC machining.
  • Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 standards is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base Salary: $90,000 - $110,000, depending on experience.
