Maryhurst is dedicated to providing therapeutic programs for children who have faced severe trauma, often stemming from experiences of abuse. The children we serve frequently engage in risk-taking behaviors as a means of coping with their emotional pain. These behaviors may include running away, truancy, self-harm, delinquency, and substance misuse. Compounding their challenges are histories of multiple placements in foster care and institutional settings, with many children having experienced an average of 20 out-of-home placements prior to their time with us. Our commitment is to offer a stable, nurturing environment that fosters healing and growth.
The Community Support Associate plays a crucial role in working with clients and their families within various community settings, including schools and home environments.
