Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Therapist to join our Family Intensive Treatment Team (FITT) at The Omni Family of Services. As a key member of our team, you will provide individual and family counseling services within the community, utilizing a strength-based, trauma-informed approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Counseling Services: Offer individual and family counseling services to youth and their families, focusing on strength-based and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Crisis Assessment and Intervention: Conduct ongoing crisis and risk assessments, and provide interventions to support youth and families in crisis.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work in partnership with youth and their families to develop effective problem-solving strategies, crisis de-escalation techniques, and communication skills.
  • Support for Caregivers: Collaborate with Family Support Specialists to provide support and resources for caregivers and guardians.
  • Case Management: Maintain a caseload of 4 youth and families, providing regular check-ins and support services.
  • On-Call Rotations: Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support to youth and families in crisis.
  • Professional Development: Attend staff meetings, agency training, and community training as assigned by the FITT Director.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the goals of the program.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of clinical diagnoses using the DSM and interventions to address mental health conditions.
  • Passion for Working with Youth and Families: A genuine passion for working with youth and their families, with a commitment to providing high-quality services.
