Senior Vice President of Manufacturing

Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and driven operations management expert to lead the manufacturing, logistics, and onsite assembly of modular log cabins, storage solutions, and children's play structures across our three production facilities.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence and possess the capability to cultivate a high-performing organization centered on process optimization.
Essential to this role is the ability to consistently recruit and develop top-tier talent, alongside the skills to coach and mentor a team with an emphasis on operational excellence.
Foster and enhance a robust culture of safety and quality, believing firmly in the outstanding outcomes achievable when opportunity aligns with determination. The goal is to create enthusiastic advocates rather than merely satisfied customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring effective management of in-house and subcontracted onsite projects.
Direct the distribution operations utilizing customized delivery systems, including tractor-trailers.
Standardize processes across all manufacturing facilities, focusing on creation, optimization, and adherence to established protocols.
Manage asset utilization, establishing and refining best practices for preventive maintenance while minimizing repair needs. Oversee vendor relationships for equipment servicing.
Implement and uphold policies to ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
Promote a culture of safety through comprehensive training and peer-led safety initiatives.
Anticipate labor and material requirements based on sales projections, ensuring alignment with growth objectives while maintaining a positive work environment and high safety and quality standards.
Collaborate closely with executive leadership on manufacturing strategies, objectives, and future product developments.Engage actively in high-level negotiations with manufacturing partners and suppliers.
Oversee budgeting processes with a focus on product costs and profit margins.
Manage all aspects of production control, process development, quality assurance, procurement, and logistics.
Maintain just-in-time inventory levels.
Develop strategies for optimal material usage while minimizing waste.
Contribute to both short-term and long-term organizational planning as a key member of the leadership team.
Identify and resolve the root causes of recurring operational challenges.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) is essential, with an MBA preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in high-touch manufacturing, with expertise in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
At least 5 years of experience with wood materials is advantageous.
Experience managing operations with revenue between $20 million and $100 million during periods of growth.
Knowledge:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Expertise in enterprise resource planning systems.
Familiarity with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and quality assurance techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AutoCAD drawings.
