POSITION SUMMARY:
As a key member of the finance team at TripleNet Technologies, you will play a vital role in overseeing budgetary processes and financial analysis. Your expertise will support effective financial management and strategic planning across various departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance of the Finance Manager, your duties will include:

  • Facilitating comprehensive budget preparation within the organization and across different divisions.
  • Collaborating with departmental leaders and staff to gather and assess information related to revenue, expenditures, and staffing needs.
  • Contributing to the identification and documentation of current service levels for various programs.
  • Creating documentation for budget modification requests.
  • Conducting financial analyses to support the development and ongoing oversight of the budget.
  • Assisting in defining program objectives, goals, and performance metrics.
  • Engaging in strategic planning initiatives alongside departmental personnel, aligning with organizational goals and policies.
  • Establishing and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and management systems for budget oversight.
  • Executing financial forecasting and preparing budget-related projections.
  • Performing cost control assessments and monitoring program delivery, expenditures, and revenue, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conducting fund reconciliation and balancing activities.
  • Preparing and delivering detailed reports and analyses; providing training on financial management, planning, budgets, and revenue forecasting.
  • Researching financial matters related to departmental and program budgets; performing analyses and making recommendations.
  • Participating in regular updates and proactively communicating progress and challenges with leadership.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in the Washington State Budgeting, Accounting, and Reporting System.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting principles and financial management practices applicable to public entities.
  • Familiarity with Governmental Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the standards set by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
  • Knowledge of capital and operational budget processes.
  • Awareness of federal, state, and local regulations governing public sector budget preparation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in personal computer applications, including spreadsheets and database management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field is required. A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in government accounting and auditing is preferred. A CPA designation is desirable but not mandatory.
