Position Overview

This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of patient flow within the clinic.

The individual in this position will act as the primary liaison for patients, managing the scheduling of appointments, preparing necessary documentation prior to patient visits, welcoming patients upon arrival, and maintaining accurate records.

Furthermore, this role may involve handling billing for clinic services, submitting insurance claims, addressing inquiries from patients and insurance providers, and maintaining relevant departmental information. Responsibilities may also include cash handling.


Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of five years of office experience, including two years in a medical setting or three years in the Patient Service Program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology, coding practices, CPT and ICD-10, billing operations, cashiering, and data entry.
  • Familiarity with Centricity Business (CBiz) Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Referral Management System (RMS), Cemer, and telecommunication systems.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of customer service, office, or related experience, with two years preferred in a healthcare or dental clinic environment.
  • Additional educational qualifications may be considered in lieu of the experience requirement.
